Five buses set on fire in Dhaka

Five buses were set on fire in the capital before the start of the 48-hour blockade announced by BNP-Jamaat and their alliance parties. Apart from this, there was an incident of setting fire to a bus in Charfashan, Bhola. Miscreants started this fire at five different places from evening to 12 midnight, says Fire Service.

According to the sources, miscreants set fire to a bus of Anabil transport near the signboard area, Naraynganj at around 12 o'clock in the night. After receiving the information, the fire service rushed. But there were no casualties in any of the fires.

Around the same time, miscreants set fire to a bus in Bhola Charfashion.

Earlier, miscreants set fire to three vehicles at Elephant Road, Postgola and Gulistan in the capital at around 7:30 pm in a span of 15 minutes. Later, another bus was torched in Gulistan at around 9 PM.

Earlier last week, 18 buses, 4 vans, 5 trucks, 3 bikes, two shops and a police box were set on fire during the 72-hour blockade by the BNP-Jammat alliance.
