The University of Scholars’ Textile Engineering Department recently ended its 3-month short course on Fashion Design with a grand exhibition, showcasing the impressive creations of rising fashion designers.
The exhibition, held on Tuesday (November 28) featured the work of 6 teams from the course, each presenting a unique and captivating design display.
The exhibition was attended by esteemed guests, including Md. Ariful Hoque Shuhan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees along with Md. Mamunur Rashid, Vice-Chancellor (Acting), Mr. Faisal Bin Alam, Head of the Department and Associate Professor of Textile Engineering; Mr. Abdul Hasib Siddique, CCO & BOT member; and Mr. Capt. (Retd.) Mobashwer A Khandaker, Registrar; The guests were thoroughly impressed by the students’ creativity, craftsmanship, and overall presentation.
Md. Ariful Hoque Shuhan, expressing his high regard for the students’ work, stated, “These young designers have demonstrated exceptional talent and innovation. I am confident that they have the full potential to make significant contributions to the fashion industry.”
He further revealed his plans to organise an inter-University Fashion Design competition to further showcase their talents.
All the Faculty members also praised the students’ hard work and creativity. They highlighted the importance of promoting a supportive environment for students to explore their artistic passions and develop their skills.
Notably, This fashion exhibition served as a platform to the continuous commitment of University of Scholars to promote and nurture the talent of our students as the University bears the slogan “We build professionals”. It was a testament to the university’s dedication to bring up the next generation of designers who will shape the future of fashion.
