The commercial train operation on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route started on Friday (1 December) afternoon.
The Cox’s Bazar Express with 1,010 passengers left the newly constructed iconic station in Cox's Bazar for Dhaka at 12.30 pm, Chattogram Divisional Railway Manager Md Saiful Islam told.
The tourism sector in Cox's Bazar now has more opportunities thanks to this development, which has led to an increase in hotel reservations.
Up until December 10, all train tickets on this route can be reserved in advance.
"Everything is ready for commercial train operations," declared Golam Rabbani, the station master in charge of the well-known railway station in Cox's Bazar. Now we are looking forward to the much-anticipated departure.
The station master detailed the seating arrangements, mentioning 330 air-conditioned AC chair seats and 450 seats in the non-AC decorated class.
Two coaches were allocated for Chittagong passengers. The fare for AC Snigdha class on this route is set at Tk 1325, while the non-AC decorative class fare is Tk 695. The AC fare from Cox's Bazar to Chittagong is Tk 470, and the non-AC fare is Tk 250.
