Awami League candidate for Dhaka-17 constituency, Mohammad Arafat, today said that miscreants had hurled crude bombs at his Banani election office.
The incident happened on Tuesday, said the AL candidate.
"My election office was charged with hand bombing last night. One of my guards (the gatekeeper) was hurt," Arafat posted on his verified X account.
"Apparently, they are targeting us now," Arafat tweeted without clarifying who he was referring to.
He called on the international community to take note of this incident.
"Shouldn't this be considered an anti-election activity involving violence? Is this kind of act not going to undermine the election?" - Arafat wrote, tagging, among others, multiple foreign missions in Bangladesh, ambassadors of EU countries, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and multiple human rights organisations.
