Due to the change of seasons, a moderate cold wave is likely headed for Bangladesh's northern and western regions starting from Wednesday (13 December) followed by thick fog until December 17. This was confirmed by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin on Tuesday (12 December).
“The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the northern part and the river basins of the country from midnight to morning,” said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin.
Wednesday could see a 1-3°C drop in overnight temperatures and essentially flat daytime temperatures across the nation.
The BMP bulletin on Tuesday states that there could be a slight drop in day and nighttime temperatures across the nation.
