Education, Research and Development Forum of Bangladesh (ERDFB), a platform of top academicians in the country, has urged the people to support Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for keeping pace in the progress achieved over last one decade.
The people of Bangladesh are getting the real taste of liberation, freedom and victory in the 53rd year of victory due to dedication of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the country. All of us including youths will continue their support by casting vote to January 7 election, ERDFB President Prof Sazzad Hossain told a seminar on Friday.
The ERDFB organsied the seminar marking the ‘fifty three years of glorious victory’ at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the capital.
Dhaka University former vice-chancellor Prof AK Azad Chowdhury was the chief guest while History department Prof Mesbah Kamal made keynote on occasion. ERDFB President Dr Sazzad Hossain chaired over the session.
In his speech, Prof Sazzad, a fulltime member of University Grants Commission (UGC), has recalled the great leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for inspiring the brave youths to fight for the country and won the war against Pakistani military.
ERDFB chief has called upon the youths to take part another festival of democracy through casting vote for development in upcoming January 7 election.
The young society should be enriched with education, knowledge, science and technology to translate Bangabandhu’s cherished dream of Sonar Bangla through implementing ‘Smart Bangladesh’ vision under leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he said.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) vice-chancellor Prof Sharfuddin Ahmed, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University vice-chancellor Prof Shahidur Rashid Bhuiyan, Noakhali University of Science and Technology former vice-chancellor Prof M Wahiduzzaman and Public Service Commission (PSC) former member Prof Anowara Begum were special guests on the occasion.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) vice-chancellor Prof Abdul Jabbar Khan made address of welcome while Barishal University acting vice-chancellor Prof Badruzzaman Bhuiyan moderated the session.
