Last-minute preparations have been ongoing across Barishal, centered on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to the city on Friday.
As part of her election campaign, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to address a rally in Barishal's Bangabandhu Udyan at 3:00 pm this afternoon.
According to the program schedule, the AL chief will leave Dhaka for Barishal by road at 10:00 am. Upon arrival in Barisal around 12:30 pm, her first stop will be at the circuit house. Following some rest, prayers, and lunch, she will participate in the rally at 3:00 pm.
Balaram Podder, a member of the Awami League National Committee and coordinator of the rally implementation and coordination committee, said all preparations have been completed for the rally venue, including the stage.
He hoped that more than one million people would attend the rally.
Meanwhile, there is a festive mood among the Awami League leaders and activists in Barishal, as well as the whole division centering on the PM's visit.
Awami League leaders and activists have already been arriving in Barishal to join the rally since Friday morning.
The organizers of the campaign rally anticipate a larger crowd gathering after the Jumma prayers.
