At least 27% of votes have been cast across the country till 3pm, said Election Commissioner Md Jahangir Alam.
The 12th national election began on Sunday (7 January) with people queuing up outside polling centres, despite the ongoing hartal called by BNP-Jamaat and a few other political parties.
The polling which began at 8am on Sunday, will continue till 4pm.
