A metro rail train was delayed for 20 minutes at the Agargaon station due to a heavy rush of passengers because of the Biswa Ijtema, said the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
The train was stopped from 2:40 pm till 3 pm on Sunday (4 January).
We had an extra load of passengers from Uttara due to the Ijtema. Because of this, the service was delayed for some time, DMTCL Public Relations Officer Trafdardar Mahmudul Rahman said.
Besides, the train from Uttara to Motijheel did not arrive at the station for almost half an hour causing suffering for passengers.
