Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Monday (19 February) said the present government has reached the police services at the doorsteps of the common people by ensuring the services through the national emergency helpline 999.
"Police services have been made available for the people by improving the services through 999 as per the instruction given by Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina", said the minister while responding to a supplementary question raised by treasury bench lawmaker Morshed Alam of Noakhali-2 at the question-answer session at the Jatiya Sangsad here.
The government has strengthened the police force by recruiting 80,000 new members. Even different police forces like industrial police, tourist police,
PBI, MRT police have been formed as per the requirement.
