State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Tuesday (19 March) called upon the developed countries to come forward with firm determination to build a greener and resilient world.

"Unless mutual cooperation and coordinated initiative, mobilization of financial resources and unconditional exchange of technology, expansion of renewable energy is quite impossible," he said.

The minister was addressing the ministerial-level multi-stakeholder roundtable on "Implementing the COP28 decisions in the energy sector-opportunities, barriers, and next steps: The Way Ahead" of Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2024 in Germany, according to a message.
Bangladesh, he said, has set a target to generate 40 percent power from renewable sources by 2041.

German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Dr Robert Habeck, ministers of different countries and delegates were present.
