After completing one year of journey, the popular English newspaper The Daily Messenger entered the second year. On this occasion, readers and well-wishers came to the newspaper office throughout the day.
On Thursday (March 21) evening, Professor Shibli Rubaiyat Ul Islam, Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) formally inaugurated the anniversary by cutting the cake. Earlier, he was welcomed by the publisher of the newspaper Enamul Haq Mone, executive editor Hossain Shohid Majnu, head of news Nashir Uddin, Chief of Correspondent Sanjay Adhikari Rony and other journalists.
BSEC Chairman Shibli Rubaiyat Ul Islam said in a short speech after participating in the event, “I was aware of The Daily Messenger newspaper from the beginning. I used to read the paper for so long and saw the quality, today came to the office and it became stronger. I think that very soon The Daily Messenger will beat the big newspapers in the market. The newspaper seems to be moving towards that goal.”
“The team I saw today, the passion I saw in everyone, I think you can establish it as a top newspaper very soon. I wish the newspaper well and look forward to seeing a more mature Messenger in the next anniversary,” he added.
Earlier, in a video message, Enamul Haq Mone, publisher of The Daily Messenger, greeted all readers, advertisers, hawkers and journalists. He said, “You have inspired us for a long year. We are grateful to you for that. We are committed to repaying the trust of readers by publishing objective news through print and digital media.”
He further said, “The Daily Messenger has established a strong position among the Bangladeshi media in a very short time. We hope to take The Daily Messenger to a unique height in the world with better news and content very soon.”
