Saber for stern action against perpetrators of certain crimes

There would be no leniency for terrorists, oppressors, looters, and land grabbers, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said on Friday (5 April).

“Administration and police have been instructed to maintain peace and order in the country,” he said.

He was speaking at an Eid gift distribution ceremony in Golarbari Bridge Nandipara area of Dhaka South City Corporation.

“This government is a people-friendly one. We have been working to ensure the equal rights of all. We will stand by the people in the future as well," he said.

Highlighting the government's commitment to supporting marginalized and disadvantaged groups, the minister mentioned the ongoing distribution of essential items such as rice, lentils, potatoes, oil, vermicelli, sarees, and lungis.

He underscored the active involvement of Awami League leaders and workers in constructive endeavors, emphasizing their dedication to serving the people and leading them towards progress.

DSCC Ward-5 councilor Chitta Ranjan Das, first elected-councilor Ward-74 Abul Kalam Azad, DSCC reserved women councilor Nasrin Ahmed and local AL leaders were present.

Later, Saber Hossain also distributed clothes as Eid gifts among 1,000 families of Ward No-73 at Manikdia Idrisia Dakhil Madrasa.
