Over Tk 1648 crore toll have so far been collected from 1.27 crore vehicles that crossed the Padma Bridge, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday (24 June) .
Besides, Tk 948 crore has been paid to the Finance Division in the six instalments while Tk 314 crore will be submitted to the Finance Division to the Prime Minister on June 27 as 7th and 8th instalments, he said while talking to reporters at Shetu Bhaban.
He also claimed that Padma Bridge construction saved Tk 1,500 crore.
