Forged currency trader arrested in Uttara

A team of Uttara East Police Station of DMP arrested a forged currency trader with fake notes from Abdullahpur area of the capital on Thursday (4 July) night.

Arrested Abdur Rahim Mannan is son of Belal Hossain of Jhenaigathi police station in Sherpur district.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Uttara East police station Md Mojibur Rahman said that the counterfeit money trader was arrested with nine 200 taka notes, from the check post in front of Abdullahpur Khandkar CNG pump of Uttara around at 11:30 pm on Thursday (4 July).

The police officer said that a case has been filed against him in this connection.

The investigation officer of the case SI Mofazzal Hossain said that the man was sent to the court this morning and was placed on a five-day remand.
