With the endorsement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan has been promoted to the rank of Air Chief Marshal.
Khan received the new rank badge from Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M. Nazmul Hassan in a ceremony at Ganabhaban on Sunday (7 June), attended by the Prime Minister.
During the event, high-ranking military and civilian officials were present, according to an ISPR media release.
Upon arriving at the Air Headquarters after the ceremony, the Chief of Air Staff was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out BAF contingent. Following this, he planted a sapling at the Air Headquarters premises.
The day concluded with a special prayer led by the newly appointed Air Chief Marshal, seeking peace and prosperity for the nation.
