BdREN’s new office Premises inaugurated by Education Minister

Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Education inaugurated the new office premises of Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) on Sunday (7 July) at the 5th floor of Navana HR Tower-II, 205/1 Bir Uttam Mir Shawkat Sarak (Gulshan-Tejgaon Link Road), Dhaka. Attending as the "Chief guest" he expressed his expectation that this new office would make BdREN officials more animated and efficient.

The event was attended by current and former members of the BdREN Board of Trustees, representatives from the Ministry of Education, high officials from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, former senior officials of BdREN, Chairman and Members of Bangladesh Accreditation Council, representatives from World Bank and many other high-ranking officials from the education community. The event was also attended by the members of the BdREN family.

At the outset, Mohammad Tawrit, CEO, of BdREN bid a warm welcome to the attendees and made a presentation on the status and achievement of BdREN. He expressed his heartiest regards to all who contributed to the development of BdREN.

In his statement, the Honorable Chief Guest praised the activities and progress of BdREN in the academic and research sectors. He hoped that BdREN would offer state-of-the-art services for its members at optimum cost to promote "Smart education" and "Smart research" and thereby produce "Smart citizen" paving the way towards the fulfilment of the Honorable Prime Minister's dream of building a "Smart Bangladesh" by 2041.

The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Vice-Chairperson, BdREN Trust and Chairman (Additional Charge) and Member, UGC. In his speech, he rendered his strong resolve that BdREN will keep on working for the development of the higher education community. He solicited cooperation from all to flourish the BdREN services among the community members and to make the offered services more education and research-friendly.
