Children in Bangladesh are facing serious safety threats from accidents on roads and injuries at home. Every year, 14,000 children die from drowning, and 7,000 from accidents on their way to school. To deal with these problems, Goofi, a top brand for children’s education from Light of Hope, and Pupil School Bus, a company providing safe school transportation, are joining forces for three years to promote personal and road safety for children.
This partnership brings together the knowledge and resources of both organizations to address safety issues that children in Bangladesh are facing. The partnership agreement was signed on July 13th at Light of Hope’s Office in Dhanmondi by Waliullah Bhuiyan, Founder & CEO of Light of Hope, and Md. Abdur Rashid Sohag, Founder & CEO of Pupil School Bus, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
In this collaboration, Goofi will create various educational materials and content with their popular characters to be used in school campaigns and digital platforms, aiming to teach children about road safety and personal safety at home and outside. The materials will be distributed to schools and made available through digital channels. Light of Hope will also provide training to the drivers and assistants of Pupil School Bus on how to safely handle and engage with children, and storytelling skills, to ensure a safe and nurturing environment during transportation. This training will improve the overall safety and well-being of children during their daily commutes.
By making the most of Goofi’s wide school network and connections with parents, the partnership aims to raise awareness about road and personal safety for children.
