Quota reform protesters blocked various roads in Dhaka, including Pragati Sarani and the Beribadh road on Tuesday (16 July) morning.
A group of protesters from Brac University, seen chanting slogans against the quota system in government jobs, staged a sit-in and blocked traffic towards Notun Bazar around 10:45am.
Meanwhile, students from Ulab University blocked the Beribadh road (between Gabtoli and Mohammadpur) around 11:30am.
This resulted in traffic congestion chocked roads from Gabtoli to Dhanmondi via Mahammadpur in the capital
