‘Educational Institutions to Reopen Gradually’

Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury said, "We want to reopen educational institutions gradually, considering public safety and risk."

He made this statement to journalists on Tuesday (30 July) evening after a meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs conference room, which was attended by seven ministers, four secretaries, and top officials of law enforcement agencies.

The meeting of seven ministers and state ministers began on Tuesday (July 30) afternoon. The meeting continued for over three hours, concluding at 6:35 PM.

Chaired by the Home Minister, the meeting was attended by Law Minister Anisul Haque, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, State Minister for Labour and Employment Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, and State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak.

Additionally, the meeting was attended by the secretaries/senior secretaries of the relevant ministries, the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of RAB, and top officials of law enforcement agencies and intelligence services.
