Amidst the ongoing non-cooperation movement, Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has announced a new program for the next two days through a press release.

On Monday (5 August), a nationwide memorial for the deceased will be held, along with the unveiling of martyrs' monuments. Additionally, a workers' rally has been called at 11 AM at Shahbagh, followed by a women's rally at 5 PM.

The following day, Tuesday, August 6th, students, citizens, and workers from across the country have been urged to converge on Dhaka in what has been named the 'Long March to Dhaka'.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, August 4th, the first day of the non-cooperation movement called by the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement is being observed.

In a statement to the media, Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators, called for the formation of struggle committees led by students in all areas, neighborhoods, villages, sub-districts, and districts.

He further stated that even if there is an internet crackdown, and they face enforced disappearances, arrests, or killings, the movement should continue peacefully until the government falls, ensuring the streets are occupied and the non-cooperation movement is sustained.
