The Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban has been prepared for the oath-taking ceremony of the interim government. Presidential Press Secretary Zainal Abedin announced that the ceremony will be held on Thursday (8 August), at 8:30 PM. President Md. Sahabuddin will administer the oath to the new interim government.
Nobel Laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will take the oath as the head of the interim government. He is scheduled to arrive at Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport from Paris, France, at 2:10 PM on Thursday (8 August).
The exact number of members in the interim government is yet to be confirmed, but there is speculation that it could consist of 11 to 15 members, all of whom will take the oath at the same ceremony.
Preparations have been completed in the Durbar Hall to accommodate around 400 guests, including politicians, academics, diplomats, and senior government and military officials.
