Following the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, an interim government is set to be formed today. The advisors of this interim government will be sworn in at 8 PM tonight, with all preparations now complete. A total of 22 new vehicles have been prepared for the advisors, which are being sent from the Transport Pool to the Cabinet Division.
This information was revealed on Thursday (8 August) by officials connected with the Government Transport Pool.
Upon inspection, it was found that the same vehicles previously used by former members of the cabinet have been cleaned and made ready. Although more than 25 vehicles have been prepared, 12 of them are currently on their way to the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat. These vehicles will later transport the advisors of the interim government to the President’s Office at Bangabhaban.
A state-of-the-art BMW has been allocated for the Chief Advisor of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
Other advisors will be provided with Toyota Camry Hybrid models. These 2500cc vehicles are priced between 8.5 to 9 million BDT, depending on the variant. Additionally, Mitsubishi Lancer EX models, priced between 2 to 2.5 million BDT with 1600cc engines, have also been allocated.
President Md. Shahabuddin will administer the oath of office to the Chief Advisor and other advisors of the interim government in the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 8 PM tonight.
