Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Friday (9 August) paid homage to the martyrs of the historic Language Movement by placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar.
He arrived at the Shaheed Minar at 11:14am and was the first to lay the wreath.
Later, Prof Yunus along with other advisers of the interim government placed another wreath at the Shaheed Minar.
They stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the language heroes.
The interim administration led by Nobel laureate Prof Yunus, was sworn in on Thursday (8 August) in the wake of the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government amid nationwide mass movement.
