In Narayanganj's Araihazar, a murder case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former ministers Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former MP Shamim Osman, Golam Dastagir Gazi (Bir Pratik), Nazrul Islam Babu, Kaisar Hasnat, and 45 others, along with 150 unidentified individuals. The case relates to the killing of Shafiqul Islam Shafik during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. The case was filed by the victim’s wife, Taslima Akter, on the night of August 21st.
Araihazar Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ahsan Ullah confirmed the incident. Other accused in the case include Shamim Osman's son Ayon Osman, nephew Azmeri Osman, Awami League financier Fakir Akhtaruzzaman, and several others from the Awami League and its affiliates.
Case in Siddhirganj
Another case has been filed in Siddhirganj's Shimrail area over the shooting death of a teenager named Hossain during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. The accused in this case include Sheikh Hasina, former ministers Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Obaidul Quader, Shamim Osman, Nazrul Islam Babu, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Kaisar Hasnat, Azmeri Osman, Ayon Osman, and 38 others. The case was filed by Hossain's father, Manik Mia, at Siddhirganj Police Station. The information was confirmed by Siddhirganj Police Inspector (Investigation) Mozammel Haque.
