Due to floods in several districts of the country, people are trapped in water.  Many people are coming forward to stand beside the flood victims in these areas. Ordinary people have extended their hand for help.  But accordingly, there is no such visible initiative on the part of the government.  Although the army, and air force are with the distressed people. However, water-bound people are spending their days in indescribable suffering. Thus, responding to our call take coordinated initiatives from the side of the government.

Incessant rains for the last week have caused floods and waterlogging in various districts.  Floods in Feni, Noakhali and Cumilla districts have been associated with the disaster caused by excessive rainfall in several areas of Chattogram district and Cox's Bazar district.  It can be said that the people of these areas are now facing a disaster situation.

Due to the worsening flood situation in Feni and Cumilla, railway authorities have decided to stop the train services from Chittagong.  Since Thursday afternoon, all inter-city trains running from Chattogram station to Dhaka and other parts of the country have been stopped. The railway line from Feni to Fazilpur was submerged in water. In many places, water is flowing over the railway bridge.  And there have been reports of the railway line being uprooted in Comilla by the flood water.  Flood water has accumulated at Feni station.

11 intercity trains run daily from Chattogram to Dhaka, Jamalpur, Sylhet and Chandpur.  Apart from this, local and commuter trains run regularly in Cox's Bazar, Nazirhat, Chandpur, Dhaka and Mymensingh.

Bangladesh is a country of rivers.  Flood is a perennial problem in this country.  Bangladesh is known as a country prone to natural disasters. Over the years, our country has been affected by various disasters.

In a word, our country is constantly attacked by the cruel wrath of nature, floods, droughts, cyclones, floods are a familiar concept for many vulnerable countries.  In these calamities, natural disasters, the country's human resources are greatly damaged, the loss of life and property is incalculable, sometimes the situation reaches such a level that the country reaches an extreme human disaster.

Hundreds of thousands of people in some districts have been trapped in water due to sudden floods.  It is being said that neither the Meteorological Department nor the Flood Warning and Forecast Center had any idea that there could be such a flood in Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Feni, Cumilla at this time.  As a result, there was no preparation for the people of these areas.

The current interim government will continue to take appropriate action to deal with the flood situation. And we want to believe that the government will not be negligent in helping the flood victims.  Still, it is important to say that quick arrangements should be made to distribute relief goods to flood-affected areas.  Much depends on the promptness of those involved in this process.

The sudden flood that has occurred this time and the massive damage is being faced, the fear of humanitarian disaster cannot be ruled out.  As a result, the government should make preparations in advance so that people do not face any hardship due to the lack of food and clean water. They should not have to fast.

Deficiency of clean water may occur with food.  Affected people may experience severe water shortages.  Can be affected by various diseases.  In this case, individual and organizational-level activities are also needed.  People from all walks of life should also come forward to face the disaster.  It is important to shelter the flood victims in safe places and provide them with dry food.

The wealthy should also extend a helping hand.  It is the duty of the people to stand by the helpless people.  The safety of vulnerable people, especially women and children, must be ensured.  If possible, permanent measures are needed to deal with this disaster.  Everyone should come forward to deal with the flood with maximum assistance in the quickest possible time.
