The government has announced that, for the time being, there will be no new recruitments for the position of General Ansar. All current members of the General Ansar are urged to return to their respective workplaces and resume their duties.

Additionally, the government has warned that it will not hesitate to take legal action against those who incite unrest.

This information was disclosed in a press release signed by Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Saturday (August 24).

The statement mentioned that the Chief Adviser has been made aware of the demands of the General Ansar members. The government has reviewed these demands with utmost attention and empathy, and some of the demands initially appear to be reasonable.

In response, the government has decided to reconsider certain aspects, such as the policy of granting leave to General Ansar members after three years of service. This policy might be revised to allow continuous employment without mandatory breaks. For now, no new recruitments will be made for General Ansar positions.

A committee, led by the Director General of Ansar and VDP and including representatives of the General Ansar, will review all the demands and make appropriate recommendations. The committee is expected to submit its report to the government within seven working days.

After receiving the report, an inter-ministerial committee will evaluate the recommendations and propose a plan for implementation. This plan will be submitted to the government for further action.

Furthermore, the Ansar VDP is a disciplined force, and no one should engage in actions that could harm the reputation and integrity of this historic organization. Therefore, all General Ansar members are requested to return to their respective workplaces and resume their duties. The government believes this will lead to a fair and acceptable resolution of their demands.

It is noteworthy that a small group of agitators is attempting to create disorder within this disciplined force. The government will not hesitate to take legal action against them if necessary.
