Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has rescheduled the written exams for the 46th BCS.

On Sunday, (25 August) PSC announced this through a press release.

According to the notice, the 46th BCS written exams (both compulsory and subject-specific) scheduled from August 28, 2024, to September 9, 2024, have been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The new dates and schedule will be announced in due course via a press release.

It is noteworthy that 10,638 candidates have passed the preliminary exam for the 46th BCS, and they will be eligible to sit for the written exam. Out of the 3,140 positions in this BCS, the highest number of appointments will be in the health cadre. A total of 1,682 Assistant Surgeons and 16 Assistant Dental Surgeons will be recruited. Following this, the education cadre will see the next highest number of recruitments, with 520 positions available for BCS Education across various subjects.
