We must work with integrity and nationalism : Advisor M. Sakhawat

Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministries of Textiles and Jute and Shipping, has called for working with patriotism and integrity. He stated, "We must work with integrity and nationalism, inspired by the spirit of anti-discrimination movements. I have not come here to gain anything; we must advance the ministry while avoiding corruption and irregularities. I will be diligent in addressing any issues faced by the ministry."

Dr. Sakhawat Hossain made these remarks during a meeting on Wednesday (August 28) in the conference room of the Ministry of Shipping. He engaged in discussions on various issues with ministry officials.

Earlier, a government notification appointed Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain to oversee the Ministry of Shipping in addition to his previous role in the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. The meeting was attended by senior officials including the Senior Secretary of the Ministry, Md. Mostafa Kamal, Additional Secretary Suraiya Parveen Shelly, Additional Secretary Dellowara Begum, as well as heads of various port authorities and senior ministry officials.
