Order to give account of assets of govt employees

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, has announced that all government employees are now required to submit their asset statements.

This information was disclosed in a press release from the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday, September 1st.

Referring to the Senior Secretary's statement, the press release noted, "All government employees have been instructed to submit their asset details."

Previously, on August 24th, to ensure transparency and accountability, judicial officials serving in the Supreme Court and their family members were ordered to submit their asset statements by September 1st.

A related notice signed by the Supreme Court Registrar General Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan stated that, in order to ensure transparency and accountability within the judiciary, all judicial officers and their family members (spouses, sons, and daughters) are required to declare their assets, both domestic and foreign, following the advice of the Supreme Court and as per the directives of the Ministry of Law.

To achieve this, the Chief Justice has expressed his intention that judicial officers serving in the Supreme Court and their family members (spouses, sons, and daughters) should submit their asset details, both domestic and foreign, to the office of the Registrar General using the attached form by September 1st.

The notice further reiterated that all judicial officers serving in the Supreme Court and their family members (spouses, sons, and daughters) are required to submit their asset statements, both domestic and foreign, to the Registrar General's office by September 1st using the specified form.
