Hasan Mahmud, the right-arm pacer, claimed his maiden five-wicket haul, leading Bangladesh to dismiss Pakistan for 172 in their second innings of the Rawalpindi Test.

Pakistan had scored 274 in their first inning after the first day was washed out due to persistent rain and a wet outfield.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz took five wickets in the first inning. In response to Pakistan’s 274, Litton Das scored a century, despite Bangladesh losing six wickets for just 26 runs. Mehidy also contributed with a fifty. Bangladesh concluded their first innings at 262.
In response, Pakistan lost two wickets for just nine runs at the end of day three. On the morning of day four, Nahid Rana delivered a superb bowling performance, claiming four wickets in the innings. Hasan was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, taking five wickets.
Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan scored 47 and 43, respectively, to keep Pakistan’s hopes alive.
Bangladesh now needs to chase a target of 185 with more than a day remaining in the match.
