Rooppur Nuclear Project is ongoing, and Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed, the economic and trade advisor, has expressed optimism about the launch of the first unit.
On Saturday, September 7, he made this statement to reporters at the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM) in Agargaon, Dhaka. Prior to this, Dr. Ahmed attended a meeting with BIGM officials.
In response to reporters' questions, the economic advisor confirmed the government's current plan to launch the first unit of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. Discussions are also underway regarding the other parts of the project.
Dr. Ahmed mentioned that the Russian ambassador had visited recently, and discussions were held with him. The plan includes meeting with the technical team and completing unfinished work, including the transmission lines.
