The government has appointed Mahbubul Alam as the new Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Television (BTV).
A gazette notification was issued today in this regard from the contract and foreign recruitment section of the Ministry of Public Administration.
The notification also stated that according to Section 49 of the Public Service Act, 2018, Mahbubul Alam has been appointed on a contractual basis for the next two years from the date of his joining on the condition of severing working relationship with other institutions and organizations.
Other terms of this appointment will be determined by the approved contract. This order was issued in public interest, read the notice.
