The government has published the draft list of 708 people, who were killed in the student-led mass upsurge in July and August.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) published the draft list on Tuesday.

This list is available on https://medical-info.dghs.gov.bd/.

It also asked family members or relatives of the victims to contact the organisaitons where the deceased took medical services if any correction in the information published on the website is needed.

Those who will not get the names of the deceased in the list have been asked to contact to the Civil Surgeon, Upazila Health and Family Planning officers concerned.

The list was made from the reports collected from different government and private hospitals during the anti-discrimination student movement.

Earlier on September 9, Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmin S. Murshid said the work on creating a comprehensive database of students and citizens injured or killed during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement is in its final stages.

“The database, which will detail the number of casualties and injuries, as well as the condition of the affected families, is nearly complete. It will be finalized after verification with information from the Ministry of Health and other relevant authorities. We plan to release this data next month,” Adviser Murshid said.
