Police have arrested chairman of Gaan Bangla television channel Kaushik Hossain Taposh from Vatara area in Dhaka.
Taposh was arrested on Sunday night in connection with a case filed at the Uttara East Police Station over killings during the July-August mass movement, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Uttara Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Raunak Jahan on Monday (4 November).
Taposh was sent to a court on Monday with a seven-day remand prayer.
