Adviser Faruk-E-Azam visits Liberation War Museum

Disaster Management and Relief, and Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-E-Azam, Bir Protik, today visited the Liberation War Museum in the city's Agargaon.

The museum is decorated with stories of gallantry, documentaries, photographs and various historical monuments of the War of Liberation in 1971. At the outset of his visit, the adviser paid tributes to the martyrs of the War of Liberation, paying floral wreath at the "Prajjalito Shikha Chir Amlan".

There, he also stood in solemn silence for some time as mark of respect, and signed the museum's comment book, said a press release of Liberation War Affairs Ministry.

Later, the adviser went round different galleries of the museum.

Mentioning the Liberation War Museum as a symbol of the struggle, sacrifice and freedom of the people of Bangladesh, Faruk E Azam said, "I believe that the sacrifice for the language and independence of the Bangalee nation will inspire people all over the world to fight for freedom and democracy."

The trustee of the museum, freedom fighter Mofidul Haque, trustee and member secretary Sara Zaker and senior officials of the museum were present on the occasion.
