A man was killed and another injured when a truck hit a motorbike at Dakkhinkhan in Dhaka on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Mahmudul Hasan Masum, 38, a transport worker and son of Ibrahim Khalil of Cumilla district.
Quoting witnesses, police said the accident occurred at Shaheed Nagar area in the morning when the speedy truck hit a motorbike while heading towards Pubail in Gazipur, leaving the motorbike rider and driver injured.
Later, they were taken to a local hospital where the doctors declared Masum dead around 2:30 pm. Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital Police camp, said the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
Masum met his tragic end while going to his Ulokhola depot in Pubail by the motorbike of his colleague in the morning.
