A group of people who were injured during the student-led mass uprising staged a demonstration in front of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation, also known as Pangu Hospital, and the National Institute of Opthalmology and Hospital in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, demanding proper medical treatment, rehabilitation and compensation.

The injured started the protest by taking position in front of the Pangu Hospital at 10:30pm today (1 February), our correspondent reported from the spot.

They blocked both sides of the road in front of the hospital, halting traffic from Agargaon to Shyamoli, according to Traffic Tejgaon division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Family members of the injured also joined the demonstration.

They will continue the protest until an announcement is made regarding their demands, they said.
