A special meeting was held on Monday (March 17) at the office of the Chief Adviser in Tejgaon, Dhaka, with senior police officials in attendance to discuss the current law and order situation in the country. During the meeting, interim government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus issued various directives to field-level police officers.
Among those who addressed the meeting were Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home Secretary Nasimul Gani, and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam.
Field-level officers who spoke at the meeting included DIG Ahsan Habib Palash of the Chattogram Range and Superintendent of Police Farzana Islam. The information was provided by the Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
