BNP has called for a nationwide blockade from 31st October till 2nd November. This came as a protest against the arrests of party leaders and followers, including its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The announcement was made by BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a virtual press briefing on Sunday (29 October) evening.
He said that the blockades will be staged in protest of the party's General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir's recent imprisonment, the attacks during Saturday's rallies, and the killings of numerous party activists.
