In the last two decades, the mobile market and its related accessories have gained huge expansion in the country. In addition to non-branded products, there are also various branded products on the market. However, customers are often at a loss when it comes to getting after-sales service.
Deximpo International Limited has entered this space. In 2020, the company started selling accessories from world-famous brands. Initially started as a national distributor of one brand, the company currently sells five worldwide brands of accessories.
At present, Deximpo International Limited is supplying accessories for the Anker, Acefast, QCY, Hyper Gear, and Zeblaze brands. Mobile chargers and headphones from these brands have already reached the centres of interest of buyers.
When asked about this, Mohammad Oashquruni Zitu, chairman of Deximpo International Limited, told The Daily Messenger, “In 2020, we started business as the first national distributor of Anker. Later, Acefast was added. We provide 18-month warranty support for the products of these two brands. No one else offers it in Bangladesh. Because of this, we have been able to respond to the market very quickly.
He said that currently, some other brands have come to us. QCY, Hyper Gear, and Zeblaze are newly added. Now we are working as a national distributor for a total of five brands.
Regarding the condition of the accessories business, he said that the demand for mobile accessories is more in addition to the mobile business. Because now the mobile companies don't give chargers, headphones, and other accessories with mobiles like before. They have to be bought from outside. As a result, these brands have created a lot of demand.
“Even though we say warranty, we are actually giving a guarantee. There is a huge response offline as well as online. Now there is huge potential for accessories businesses in Bangladesh. The market for all these products has also grown,” he added.
Mr. Zitu said about the challenges of this business that the idol of accessory production in Bangladesh is Anik Telecom. Once, there was a huge market for them. But they faced various complications. As the government has complications with VAT, there is also a shortage of skilled manpower. Still, more products come through illegal channels than legal channels. It must be prevented.
Mithu Mia, Managing Director of Deximpo International Limited, told The Daily Messenger that there is a huge market for accessories. Anker is a worldwide brand. After bringing it, we realised that nowadays, money is not important to people; they want good products. Many brands of accessories are available on the market. But they do not provide good service. This is what we used.
