Gold prices have hiked yet again following a slight drop just over a week ago. After the recent hike 22-carat gold is set to cost Tk 109,292 per bhori from Tuesday (19 December).
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) on Monday (18 December) announced this change in price of gold. According to their announcement, the price of 22-+carat gold has increased by Tk 1,167 per bhori. The new price for per gram gold is Tk 9,370 now.
Following a rise in the local bullion market, BAJUS announced the new price increase in a statement today.
The new rates are scheduled to take effect on Tuesday, December 19.
The cost of a gram of 21-carat gold has increased to Tk8,945 under the rates.
The cost per gram of 18-carat gold has increased to Tk7,665.
Aside from this, the standard price of gold has gone up to Tk6,390 per gram.
The price of 22-carat gold reached Tk1,09,875 per bhori earlier on November 29, which was a record high for Bangladesh.
