Gold prices have increased by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1, 11,041 per bhori (11.664 grams) at the jewellers' shop as a result of an increase in the precious metal's global price.
The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) released a press statement on Saturday (23 December) stating that the price of 22-carat gold is currently Tk 9,520 per gram, while the price of 21-carat gold is Tk 9,090.
The set cost of 18-carat gold is Tk 7,790 per gram, whereas conventional gold is Tk 6,490 per gram.
According to the announcement, the increased pricing will take effect on Sunday (24 December). The cost per gram of 22-carat silver is Tk180; that of 21-carat silver is Tk172; that of 18-carat silver is Tk147; and that of traditional silver is Tk110.
