Bangladesh still during global economic slowdown remains second largest RMG exporter to UK.
According to Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), UK imported $3.18 billion ready to wear garment in January-October 2023 while mighty China exported to UK more than $12 billion, Turkey's export recorded $3 billion and stood third among the world exporters.
Though, at the same time of corresponding year, Bangladesh exported to UK $4 billion, China $14.47 billion and Turkey $3.30 billion.
