Islami Bank holds Sub-Branch Business Development Conference

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC organized sub-branch business development conference at Le Meridien, Dhaka on 27 January 2024, Saturday. Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director and CEO of the bank addressed the conference as chief guest. Md. Maksudur Rahman, Senior Executive Vice President, presided over the conference while Muhammad Qaisar Ali, J Q M Habibullah, FCS and Md. Altaf Hossain, Additional Managing Directors; Abul Faiz Muhammad Kamaluddin, Deputy Managing Director; A S M Rezaul Karim and Muhammad Kamaluddin Jasim, Senior Executive Vice Presidents; Md Shamduddoha, Md Golam Rabbani and Nazmus Sakib Md Rezaur Rahman, Executive Vice Presidents and Md Farid Uddin, FCA, Senior Vice President of the bank addressed the program. Md. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Executive Vice President addressed the welcome speech. 249 Sub-Branch In-charges along with executives and officials from Head Office attended the conference.

Mohammed Monirul Moula, in the speech of chief guest said Islami Bank is playing a vital role in economic development. Till now, this bank has increased the foreign exchange reserves by depositing more than 12 billion dollars in Bangladesh Bank even after paying its own import expenses. Around 14,000 industrial institutions financed by Islami Bank, generated employment opportunities for more than one crore individuals. The bank continues its contribution to financial inclusion and poverty alleviation through agent banking and rural development scheme. 

He also said Islami Bank has become a bank of trust and confidence due to the honesty and dedication of its officials. Alongside 394 branches, 249 sub-branches are also contributing significantly to the progress of the bank. He urged everyone to provide technology-rich service to customers with utmost professionalism and dedication. He gave various suggestions to the in-charges to achieve business targets for the year 2024.
