The government has reduced the price of soybean oil by Tk 10 per litre to give the people some respite ahead of Ramadan. The new price will be effective from March 1.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the taskforce on the review of commodity prices and market conditions held at the Commerce Ministry in Dhaka on Tuesday (20 February).
Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu confirmed the matter to the journalists after the meeting.
As per the decision, the price of bottled soybean oil will be reduced by Tk 10 to Tk 163 per liter, while loose soybean oil will be reduced by Tk 10 to Tk 149 per liter.
