The price of bitcoin hit a new all-time record on Monday (11 March), crossing the $71,000 milestone at around 07:35 GMT, showing a 2.36% growth over the previous day as of 08:00 GMT, according to the largest cryptocurrency trading platform, Binance.
Trading data indicated that the cryptocurrency price fell slightly to $67,000 early in the day, only to rebound later and hit a new high.
The price of bitcoin hit nearly $70,000 on March 8, with its futures surpassing $71,000 in US trading amid investor mania fueled by the launch of exchange-traded fund (ETF) products on the leading cryptocurrency, trading data showed.
