FBCCI hosts Iftar in honor of ambassadors, diplomats

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade organization of the country, hosted an Iftar and Doa Mahfil in honor of the ambassadors, diplomats, and dignitaries at a hotel in the capital on Saturday (30 March).

Ministers of different ministries, members of parliament, ambassadors and diplomats, editors and CEOs of print and electronic media, country's top businessmen and other dignitaries attended the iftar mahfil, said a press release.

Commenting on the occasion, FBCCI president Mahbubul Alam said, "Bangladesh has a rich cultural heritage and a history of hospitality. It is a land of diversity, with people from different faiths and backgrounds living together in harmony. This diversity is reflected in our food, our music, our art, and our traditions. I am proud to say that Bangladesh is a country that celebrates all religious occasions in unity".

The FBCCI president further said, "As diplomats and business leaders, you have the unique opportunity to build bridges between our countries and promote mutual understanding and respect. The business community in Bangladesh is thriving, and we are seeing increasing opportunities for investment and trade. I am confident that by working together, we can continue to strengthen our economic ties and create a more prosperous future for our nations".

The guests prayed for the country's economic development and the peace, and welfare of its people.

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Commerce Senior Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, FBCCI former Presidents Mahbubur Rahman, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Mir Nasir Hossain, Sheikh Fazle Fahim and Md Jashim Uddin, FBCCI Senior Vice President Md Amin Helaly, Vice Presidents Khairul Huda Chopol, Dr. Joshoda Jibon Deb Nath, Shomi Kaiser, Rashadul Hossain Chowdhury (Ronni)and Md. Munir Hossain, ambassadors of India, Indonesia, Norway, Malaysia, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Denmark, Diplomats from several countries, and dignitaries, editors of print and electronic media, FBCCI directors, business leaders, and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
