Garment worker Rasel Ahmed and his team have clinched the first plot in the country’s largest Eid campaign “Nagad e Jomi” launched by Nagad. Also present in this team were Mohammad Rubel and Mohammad Rajib.
Recently, former national cricket team captain Tamim Iqbal and Nagad’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tanvir A Mishuk handed over the piece of land to the winners at Purbachal Probashi Polli’s project site. Lucky winners participating in the campaign will receive several other plots as gifts.
On the occasion of Eid, Nagad has now come up with a never-seen-before offer for its customers to win land in Dhaka. Purbachal Probashi Palli Group, a leading real estate company in Bangladesh, has joined hands with Nagad as the land partner for the ongoing mega campaign. During the campaign, Nagad customers stand a chance to win dream plots in Dhaka by following three easy steps.
They can also win many other exciting mega gifts including motorbikes, TVs, fridges, smartphones worth BDT 20 crore, on individual transactions using this MFS.
In this campaign, the first plot was won by Rasel Ahmed and his team. Rasel, a native of Cumilla, works at a garments factory in Dhaka and has been a Nagad customer from the beginning.
After the start of this mega campaign, he bought a pair of shoes worth BDT 1,200 from a renowned footwear brand’s outlet and made the payment with Nagad. As a result, he became eligible to form a team for this campaign.
Later, Rasel created this team with his two friends Rajib and Rubel. All three of them have active Nagad accounts and regularly remained active in transactions. Consequently, this team’s name emerged from among many other teams.
Initially unaware of the gift, they were invited to Purbachal Probashi Palli where Tamim Iqbal listened to their family and personal financial situations and life stories. Afterwards, everyone went together to the designated land where the documents of the plot were handed over to the three winners. Overwhelmed with emotions, the winners broke down in tears.
Rasel in a choked voice said, “My father would have been happiest today if he were alive. He had longed for it so much, for our brothers to have a piece of land. My father passed away worrying. Today, that dream of our own land has been fulfilled through Nagad. The way Nagad is fulfilling people’s dreams is truly unbelievable.”
Rubel said he has a sorrowful memory that a piece of land that he bought had been grabbed. Now, he feels he has got the compensation, “I feel Nagad has restored my life to me. I had no idea where I would live with my two children. Nagad has given me the solution.”
Rajib, during a video call, was telling his family, “I never thought I would have my own land in Dhaka; I couldn’t even dream of it. Now, thanks to Nagad, I am the owner of a piece of land. I cannot believe Nagad will fulfill dreams like this. I think many more dreams will be fulfilled through Nagad.”
During the land transfer, Tamim Iqbal said, “Nagad has kept its words by giving away this land. Promising is easy, but keeping that promise is difficult. They know how to keep promises. That is why I consider myself as part of the Nagad family.”
Nagad CEO Tanvir A Mishuk said, “It is because of our customers that today we have become the top mobile banking institution in the country. We owe our success to the love we receive from them. We have no credit here. We just want to make people’s dreams come true.”
Mentionable, to participate in the “Nagad e Jomi” campaign, a Nagad customer must make a minimum of BDT 100 mobile recharge a minimum of BDT 500 payment, or a minimum of BDT 1,000 add-money.
Following any of the three transactions, they will instantly get a message that will confirm their eligibility to take part in the campaign. Then, a participant will create a team of three having active Nagad accounts, including himself/herself, and everyone in the team will have to remain active in transactions during the campaign period to stay in competition to win land in Dhaka.
Customers can also win land by receiving a minimum of BDT 5,000, excluding government incentives, in remittances through Nagad.
