The Bangladesh Bank has approved the payment of dividend to the shareholders of the listed Exim Bank for the year ending on December 31, 2023.
It recently gave the bank approval to declare dividend, said sources.
Listed in 2004, the bank paid a 10 per cent cash dividend to the shareholders in 2022. It also paid 10 per cent cash dividend in 2021.
Exim Bank's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the first three quarters of 2023 was Tk 1.58, which was Tk 1.57 in the same period of the previous year.
The bank’s consolidated net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 22.44 at the end of September 30, which was Tk 22.32 in the same period of the previous year.
In 2004, the authorised capital of the bank was Tk 2,000 crore and paid-up capital was Tk 1,447 crore 55 lakh 70 thousand. It has Tk 1,739 crore 25 lakh in reserve.
The total number of shares of the bank is 144 crore 75 lakh 57 thousand 344. Of these, sponsor directors own 32.47 per cent. Besides, institutional investors own 29.14 per cent, foreign investors 0.77 per cent, and general investors 37.62 per cent.
